Tartaric Acid

Tartaric Acid is a substance that is often used in the food industry and that we also use in natural dyeing as an assistant to alum in the mordanting process. Its low pH content helps to preserve the natural characteristics of the wool during hot mordant. It also has the property of uniforming the color.
