Madder Extract (Alizarin)

Madder is a herbaceous plant of the Rubiaceae family whose root, which contains alizarin, is historically used in natural dyeing to produce colors of the red family.
Here we have the extract of the coloring matter (Alizarin), which allows us to dye much more effectively. Madder is known for liking alkaline baths to obtain the most reddish tones. More acidic baths will result in more orange tones.

50gr of madder extract will dye approximately 750gr of fiber with a medium-dark shade.
